Overview

The Upskilling Programme was introduced to increase availability of local talents and provide opportunity for employment of high skilled jobs among local fresh graduates with the aim to:
Produce industry ready entry-level talents for high skill jobs;
Create a world-class workforce in Malaysia, especially in the context of the ETP
 

Objectives

The principal objectives of the Upskilling Programme are to:
  • Produce industry ready entry-level talents for high skill jobs;
  • Meet industry needs and reduce talent shortage in National Key Economic Areas (NKEA);
  • Focus on industry targeted by Economic Transformation Programme (ETP);
  • Create a world-class workforce in Malaysia, especially in the context of the ETP;
  • Prioritized domain-specific training to enable effective contribution; and
  • Ensure high income jobs for graduates

Engineering Design for Oil & Gas (Piping)

OVERVIEW
 
The course content are designed to develop the young engineer in piping engineering design skills including exposure to planning, leading, organization and coordination.
 
PRE-REQUISITE
 
  • Malaysian citizen
  • Fresh graduates with minimum CGPA 3.0(or equivalent) in engineering field
    from local recognized institutions.
  • New hires (graduated less than 2 years and hired less than 3 months upon
    enrolment) with a Host Company are eligible to participate.
  • Age of participant – 27-year old and below
 
LEARNING OBJECTIVES

Successful completion of this course will provide participants with the in-depth knowledge and skills to:
  • Perform under consultant's working methods/standard requirements (especially working procedure, department working procedure, QA and HSE)
  • Have a sound knowledge of the relevant international codes & Standards
  • Develop an engineering design skills (piping) including exposure to planning, leading, organization and coordination (PLOC)
  • Continue exposure to international codes and standards including Client's Engineering Practices, Design Engineering Procedures.
  • Continue exposure to international codes and standards including Client's Engineering Practices, PIPING Design Engineering Procedures 

Engineering Design for Oil & Gas (Structural)

OVERVIEW

The course content are designed to develop the young engineer in piping engineering design skills including exposure to planning, leading, organization and coordination.

  • Malaysian citizen
  • Fresh graduates with minimum CGPA 3.0(or equivalent) in engineering field
    from local recognized institutions.

Successful completion of this course will provide participants with the in-depth knowledge and skills in
  • Compliance with client requirements & industry standards with respect to structural workscopes.
  • Designing technically correct, timely and cost-effective structural designs that consider total project requirements.
  • Producing structural designs that satisfy quality, safety, and environment.
