What is it?
The Microsystems Technology Business Unit provides training for specialised integrated circuit (IC) designers in the semiconductor industry largely responsible for the design and manufacture of PCB (Printed Circuit Boards), IC (Integrated Circuit), IC Packaging Design and Characterization as well as IC Testing and Instrumentation. More recently, these specialists have begun to integrate Embedded System Design, a combination of system level (PCB) and programming into their list of daily operations.
We also design and conduct trainings for INSEP (Industrial Skill Enhancement Program). It is an integrated training and development program initiated and funded by the Malaysian government aimed at training graduate engineers on industry-relevant skills and knowledge so as to enhance their employability potential in the industry. To encourage interest in this field, we also offers short courses to the general public, awarding them with professional certificates upon completion.
On a more technical level, we provide equipment testing services, PCB prototyping services, IC Packaging services and Electronic Design Automation (EDA) tools to SMEs. We also constantly keep professionals within the industry updated and informed with the latest technology and trends through our events and publications.
